2125 was the year the Proxy war began in earnest. The Heshe and Uruk, each with drastically different views of right and wrong, met in open conflict with disastrous results for the known universes. At the same time this was the finest year for the Galactic Coalition... In this exciting fifth book in the Catherine Kimbridge series Admiral "Cat" Kimbridge struggles with a handful of her closest friends to save not one but two universes. The Heshe and Uruk have been battling for scores of millennia. As they grow more powerful they threaten the very fabric of Space-Time. A third race, the Agur, masters of time and "guardians of forever" seek to avert a battle that destroys multiple universes by establishing a proxy war -- the winner takes all. Cat and the GCP Yorktown battle on the side of the Heshe while Modos forces loyal to the Uruk battle on the other. This book marks the end of the Proxy War story arc but fear not! It is not the last we will see of Cat!

I have enjoyed all the Catherine Kimbridge books so far. I like the characters, the dialog, and generally enjoy the "founding of a Federation" plot line. The only problem I have are the several callouts to Star Trek: characters with the same names, or names of the actors, or names of the actors mashed up with the characters they portrayed. I would very much rather see the story stand on its own without the need to call out to other science fiction franchises.
One thing I'm glad to see is that the author is sending the book through a professional editor, but he's elected to release it sooner to those of us who pre-ordered, so we can read it - even without the editing fixes. Thank you for that - for both. I get tired of seeing badly edited Kindle novels, and I'm glad to see some authors working hard to raise the standards in the Kindle self-publishing community.
In all, my hat is off to the author. This is another fun book in a fun series. I can't wait to see where Catherine Kimbridge goes next.

The Catherine Kimbridge Chronicles #5 Liberation eBook Andrew Beery Reviews
Can't wait for the next book. I thoroughly enjoy these books. An adventure book that has the right amount of characters without muddling up the points in the story. The techno-lingo also was enough to keep you interested and not be a distraction.
Attention grabbing sequell. The charater contniue to show there strong side and the flaws that they have. Willing to do anything to save humanity. Always willing to do what needs to be done. Show how selfless people can be when faced with a dieer decision.
The story is fine. In fact enjoyable. The problem is that it is no longer a book. Just, sadly, novellas. And, I don't enjoy reading short stories that much anymore. This book is 125 pages long, and #6 is 145 pages long. So, to bad. I don't recommend anyone to read this series. It will be disappointing.
I like this series but this episode seemed rushed and incomplete? It appears to be a gateway novel to a new turn in the Kimbridge Chronicles and while I am hopeful I can't help but be disappointed with the story. It was thin on plot and left one wanting more and some more depth to the story.
I'd still recommend it but this is not the novel I was hoping for
AB has maintained the storyline of the adventures of the "Cat". In the fifth novel she and her cohorts are attempting to save two universes.
The beings are struggling to keep their two places alive as opposed to death. This is an excellent read for the genre.
A worthy continuation of Cat's story. Previous reviews are correct about it being half-a-book; and I'll hold commentary on the subjects of serialization and captalism. I enjoy Cat's story and the large entourage that she has around her. They all help carry the story to the end. Looking forward to the next and I hope they don't get too much shorter because that would be bad.
I have just read all 5 of these books. I love them. The th ave a great story line and a great adventure in each book. Each character is very likeable, and very necessary. to the story. With a complete history of their own, that makes all the books. A complete story on their own. I highly recommend these books for a great read . As soon as you finish one you want to start another one. Happy reading.
